Draughtsperson / Setter Out

An industry leading contractor in the interior fit out market requires a Draughtsperson / Setter Out working on varied fit out and refurbishment projects across the UK.
The Draughtsperson will be responsible for overseeing technical drawing processes on a variety of commercial projects they are assigned to.
The client is looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual who will be involved and invested in the projects and their progress.
We are looking for an experienced joinery setter-out/technical designer to produce technical design / setting-out drawings along with supporting information such as cutting lists and bill of material information.
About the Role:
• To convert final design drawings into setting-out drawings and cutting sheets to be passed to the workshop.
• To produce detailed CAD drawings for production
• To liaise with designers and clients to ensure a detailed brief is established.
• To liaise with clients over queries and obtain approvals.
• To do the materials take-off for each project and place orders as appropriate
• To use our Emax manufacturing ERP system (training provided)
• To project manage each project working closely with estimating and production to ensure budgets and production timescales are met.
• To liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors as appropriate
About the Candidate:
• Previous experience as a joinery setter-out is essential
• AutoCAD Proficiency
• Previous experience in the fast-track joinery and commercial interiors sector would be advantageous.
• Team player with a flexible attitude allowing them to adapt to a growing business environment.
• Be resilient and able to work well under pressure.
• Highly organised and the ability to prioritise a heavy workload.
• Have excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.

About the Candidate:
• 3+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for an architectural finishings subcontractor.
• Possess a Quantity Surveying degree (desirable but not essential)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, COINS or similar takeoff software
• Analytic ability with numeric and English literacy skills
• Sound knowledge of contracts and Health & Safety policies and procedures
