Brief Outline
• An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Joinery Design Manager to join and lead our client’s technical team and progress the department throughout the company’s ongoing expansion.
• The client is looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual who will be involved and invested in their various projects and their progress.

• Our client is an established high end joinery and fit out contractor.
• They work on a diverse range of project from bespoke domestic works, to multi million pound commercial jobs. They have an excellent reputation for the quality of their projects and work with a number of prestigious clients.
• Their turnover has increased year-on-year and they have a large pipeline of work for next year already.
About the Role
• In this role you will be mainly office based, with the flexibility of home remote working and with the occasional site visit required, carrying out full Design Management responsibilities and leading an in-house technical team.
• You will be responsible for the formal reporting of each project where you will work with a Project Manager throughout pre and post contract stages.
• You will ensure that the planning, management and coordination is successful and that financial control within the project margin is maintained.
• The ideal candidate will have an in-depth carpentry or joinery design background and CAD experience. You will also be able to lead and manage a design office.

• Previous experience in design management for large residential and commercial joinery projects

Quantity Surveyor Role
We are currently searching for an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a market leading and growing civil engineering, RC Frame, Remediation, Demolition, Decommissioning and Enabling contractor during their ongoing expansion, with projects based in the Midlands area.
You will have the opportunity to work across a range of interesting and high-profile projects, taking ownership for developing the relationship with the client as well as working as part of a well-established integrated delivery team.
The projects vary, giving the Quantity Surveyor exposure to a variety of contract types, schemes, clients and challenges and you will be supported in developing to ensure you have well rounded experience. They work in various sectors including; inner city construction, industrial sites, civils and infrastructure projects.
Some of your duties will include
• Overseeing a specific portfolio of projects
• Ensuring all Commercial Activities are performed in an ethical manner while maintaining a competitive position
• Reviewing and managing Risk and Opportunities
• Ensure cashflow is maintained
• Ensuring accurate Month - End CVR Reporting
• Pricing of change orders
• Measurement of client design drawings with a particular focus on remediation, earthworks, civils and substructures, amongst other areas.
• Dealing with subcontractor orders and general paperwork
• Procurement of materials and subcontracts
• Creating monthly applications towards client and understanding and developing project budgets
• Dealing with client queries related to scope of works

This role will be assisting a Lead Surveyor and Commercial Director dealing with multi-million-pound projects from planning through to completion.

They work in various sectors including; inner city construction, industrial sites, civils and infrastructure projects.
