Brief Outline
Our client, an established and growing interior fit out contractor is on the lookout for an established Quantity Surveyor to carry out surveying duties on Industrial, Retail, Leisure and Residential projects in the North region.

About our Client
Our client, that has seen substantial growth in the past months, specializes in the Steel Framing Systems, Suspended Ceilings, Drylining, Partitions and Plastering markets. The role will include the development of close relations with both internal and external stakeholders while maintaining profitable projects.

About the Role
• Conduct occasional site visits
• Prepare tender and contract documentation
• Involvement in the pre-contract and estimating project phases
• Using drawings and specifications to produce Bills of Quantities
• Maintaining communication with the project team
• Attend weekly project progress meetings
• Compiling accurate project reports
• Compile applications and pricing variations
• Produce turnover forecasts and maintain good profit margins
• Checking and signing off of sub-contractor invoices
• Final Account agreement

About the Candidate
• 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Steel Framing Systems, Suspended Ceilings, Drylining, Partitions or Plastering market
• Possess a Quantity Surveying degree (desirable but not essential)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, COINS or similar takeoff software
• Analytic ability with numeric and English literacy skills
• Sound knowledge of contracts and Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Be an easy-going self-starter that is commercially aware
