Brief Outline
Our client, a leading Passive Fire Protection contractor in the London area, is seeking a knowledgeable and stable Estimator to carry out their functions in the
Commercial New Build and Refurbishment sector both on site and in office.

About our Client
Our client has established themselves well within the Passive Fire market for over 20 years with a steady turnover increasing year on year. This is a key role to take the lead in an existing Estimating function and develop further to ensure the maximum potential is achieved.

About the Role
• To carry out and oversee the estimating function for Passive Fire Protection installations and remedials including: thermal lining, compartmentation, boardng, durasteel and tunnel lining to name a few
• Review and understand the requirements of tender documents (JCT & NEC).
• Attending sites/meetings with clients to finalise details/requirements if and when required.
• Liaise with client representatives to obtain scope clarification
• Produce Bills of Quantities/Schedules as required, and take-offs from drawings, itemising all required elements of work and pricing the same.
• Keep up to date with new installation techniques and best practices, maintaining a working knowledge of all legislative requirements and any developments that affect the passive fire
• protection industry.
• Build ups of cost of resources for all activities to produce most competitive net cost.
• Compilation of pricing clarifications for inclusion with tender submission.
• Production of the tender breakdown for discussion and agreement at the tender meetings.
• Completion of all tender documentation for return by due date.
• Maintain contact with Client to ascertain our position.
• To work and build relationships with new and existing clients.

About the Candidate
• Broad range of knowledge within the Construction industry
• Ability to undertake both an Estimating and a Quantity Surveying function is desired but not required
• Familiarity with industry codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites when necessary.

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager to join an established and growing commercial flooring contractor within the London area. With a vast amount of experience and knowledge gained over 40 years of delivering flooring contracts across multiple sectors, this contractor has built up large and diverse client base.
They are looking for an ambitious candidate with experience in within the construction sector who can progress in the role, working under a Senior Contracts Manager and within the foreseeable future run their own projects and progress to a more senior role in the operations team.
Key responsibilities:
• Ensure all materials and resources are in place as work is as required
• Possess and have full knowledge of project details and specifications
• Ultimately, deliver high-quality flooring installations on time and to budget whilst satisfying the customer

Experience and qualifications:
