We are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established regional contractor working on residential and commercial joinery installation packages in and around the London area.

The company are based in Hertfordshire and have been operating for over 20 years. They have grown steadily over the last few years and are looking to expand their commercial team.   

The company undertake joinery manufacture and install packages.

They work across various sector including office fit out, high end residential, hotels, heritage and educational amongst other areas. They have a well-established client base across London.

The business has a friendly and welcoming environment, and they have a strong growth plan in place for the foreseeable future.

Duties and responsibilities will include; 

• Working with the Commercial Manager to ensure successful delivery of projects
• Undertaking costing analysis, take-offs and procurement schedules
• Monthly reporting
• Applications for payment
• Identifying and negotiating variations
• Material requisitions to the Buying department
• Attend meetings with clients and colleagues
• Approve Sub-Contractor valuations
• Final Account agreements

About the candidate: 

• Proven record in surveying for the joinery industry
• Preferably graduate in Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent
• Wider knowledge of the fit-out industry
• Familiar with site visits and client facing activity
• Excellent analytical skills are essential, as are numeracy, literacy and communication skills in English
• Computer literacy in MS Office, Project
