About the Role:

The Senior Contract Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the contractual aspects of our architectural metalwork projects from inception to completion.

  • Lead the contract management process for architectural metalwork projects, including reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with the sales, design, and estimating teams during the pre-construction phase to ensure alignment between project requirements and contractual terms.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific contract documents, including scopes of work, change orders, and subcontract agreements.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential contractual risks or issues, providing proactive solutions and recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel as needed to address contractual disputes, claims, and other legal matters arising during project execution.
  • Facilitate communication and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular contract reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contractual terms, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior contract management staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management on project status, financial performance, and contract-related matters.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve contract management processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

About the Candidate 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, CCM) preferred.
  • Experience in contract management, preferably in the construction or architectural metalwork industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Thorough understanding of construction contracts, legal principles, and industry best practices, with the ability to interpret and negotiate contractual terms and conditions.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex contractual issues clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with experience using contract management systems preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and addressing contractual risks and issues in a timely manner
