About the Role:
They are looking to recruit an ambitious Commercial Manager that has the desire to become a senior management figure in their commercial team.
- Understand and define project scope, goals and deliverables to ensure the project is quoted within budget and program (as supplied by the client)
- Must have NEC contract experience
- Create scope of works / pricing documents
- Help with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities (procurement)
- Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Lead the commercial team in the preparation and submission of bids and tenders.
- Negotiate and agree on commercial contracts with clients and suppliers.
- Manage and monitor project costs and budgets to ensure profitability.
- Provide commercial guidance and support to project teams.
- Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
About the Candidate:
- At least 5 years of experience in a commercial management role in the construction industry.
- NEC contract experience is essential
- Flexible self-starter with ability to prioritise
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of successfully delivering commercial strategies and managing projects.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinker.
