About our Client:

Our client is a market leading specialist sub-contractor. They have worked on some of the most prestigious commercial and infrastructure projects across the UK.

They have a secured of work for the year ahead already with some major projects in the pipeline over the next few years.

About the Role:

They are looking to recruit an ambitious Commercial Manager that has the desire to become a senior management figure in their commercial team.

  • Understand and define project scope, goals and deliverables to ensure the project is quoted within budget and program (as supplied by the client)
  • Must have NEC contract experience 
  • Create scope of works / pricing documents
  • Help with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities (procurement)
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead the commercial team in the preparation and submission of bids and tenders.
  • Negotiate and agree on commercial contracts with clients and suppliers.
  • Manage and monitor project costs and budgets to ensure profitability.
  • Provide commercial guidance and support to project teams.
  • Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

About the Candidate:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a commercial management role in the construction industry.
  • NEC contract experience is essential
  • Flexible self-starter with ability to prioritise 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering commercial strategies and managing projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker.
