Brief Outline
We are currently looking for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established, multi disciplined contractor on the groundworks side of the business, with projects across the London and South East region.

About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious qualified Trainee Quantity Surveyor with ambition to progress to a more senior role within the company’s commercial team in the future.

Duties and responsibilities will include;
Working with the Commercial Manager to ensure successful delivery of projects
Undertaking costing analysis, take-offs and procurement schedules
Monthly reporting
Applications for payment
Identifying and negotiating variations
Material requisitions to the Buying department
Attend meetings with clients and colleagues
Approve Sub-Contractor valuations
Final Account agreements


About the Candidate
NC/ HND / Degree in a construction related field
Wider knowledge of the construction industry
Familiar with site visits and client facing activity
Excellent analytical skills are essential, as are numeracy, literacy and communication skills in English
Computer literacy in MS Office, Project

• To identify the necessary resources and assign individual responsibilities.
