Due to expansion an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Tekla Draftsperson to join a successful Steelwork Fabrication company in based North Yorkshire.

About our client.

My client has 30 years of experience in the design, manufacture, and installation of a wide range of steelwork and metalwork projects. They are now looking to add a Tekla Draftsperson to their team. 

About the Role

• Modelling of commercial structural steelwork projects in the new build sector.
• Some secondary steelworks, such as access stairs and hand railing
• Produce preliminary GA’s and material lists on all new enquiries.
• Ensure all details are captured in enquiry phase to allow for accurate pricing.
• ensuring all special provisions are noted.
• Produce construction issue GAs for all secured projects.
• Produce full fabrication packages, material lists, bolt lists for all secured projects.
• Attend DTMs for all secured projects.
• Attend site and take site measurements for all secured projects
• Be the point of contact for all contracts in the design and detailing phase of each job.
• Collaborate with Design Engineer on all D&B tenders and projects.

About the candidate

• Prior experience working as a Steelwork Draughtsman is essential.   
• Experience using Tekla CAD is essential.     
• Have good communication skills.   
• Have a good eye for detail and take pride in your work.
