Our client is a specialist within the fire wall fit out sector and is looking to take on a Quantity Surveyor who can hit the ground running.
They work on a national scale and have won various awards for the projects they have been involved with.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive surveys and inspections of buildings to identify and assess the condition of fire wall & cladding systems.
- Evaluate the quantity and quality of passive fire protection measures, including fire-resistant materials, fire doors, fire dampers, fireproof coatings, and firestopping.
- Verify compliance with local, national, and international fire safety codes and standards.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers to provide guidance on passive fire protection system design and installation.
- Advise clients on the selection of appropriate passive fire protection systems and products.
- Conduct periodic inspections and re-evaluations of passive fire protection systems to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in passive fire protection technologies.
- Provide training and educational sessions to clients and colleagues on passive fire protection best practices.
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities and participate in fire safety audits, as required.
Requirements:
- HND or Equivalent
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex systems and identify deficiencies.
- Detail-oriented and thorough in conducting surveys and preparing reports.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using surveying tools, equipment, and software.
