Our client is a leading manufacturing company working on high-end multi-apartments, hospitality, and bespoke residential projects. 

Their Contract Division provides a full turn-key service primarily to blue chip contractors and developers within the London area, working alongside the most prestigious architectural and interior design firms.

They are currently looking to expand our pre-contract team with an estimator who will be working within a small but driven team, reporting to the Head of Design and Estimating.

The role is equally technical and commercial, and it is ideal for an individual who wants to develop into an all-round interior specialist. 

The company will provide specific training to allow the new team member to fulfil the role and succeed in the position.

About the Role:

  • Isolating relevant information from tender packages to fully identify the scope of works.
  • Producing bill of quantities, schedules, and quotations for multiple projects at the same time.
  • Isolating the relevant contractual, logistic, delivery information, including programme, construction sequences, logistic plans…
  • Producing all the supporting documents necessary to complete the tender returns.
  • Executing site surveys and translate them into cad drawings when necessary.
  • Being a reliable point of contact for assigned clients, liaising over the phone and by email, as well as attending face-to-face or virtual meetings for long-running projects.
  • Developing and nurturing own network of personal client relationships.

About the Candidate:

  • Have a degree in architecture, interior/product design, project management, or quantity surveying.
  • Have a basic understanding of the interior manufacturing industry.
  • Have a basic knowledge of UK construction industry.
  • Be extremely organised and time management driven.
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel.
  • Be able to read and interpret architectural drawings.
  • Outstanding organisational skills, with a systematic approach to handling complex projects with excellent attention to detail.
  • Have a strong time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise according to a task’s importance and provide timely resolution of any issues.
  • Have a practical approach to problem-solving, taking an active interest in finding creative solutions to difficulties encountered.
  • Being articulate with excellent all-round communication skills, including the ability to deliver feedback and difficult messages, when required.
  • Being able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Being a good team player who is confident working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Being Able to use own initiative when necessary.
  • Being a quick learner, able to pick up an understanding of our business rapidly.
  • Possess a ‘can-do’ attitude with an ability to spot and act on opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
  • Efficient, friendly, and passionate about doing everything possible to support clients and role players.
  • Thrive on managing a busy operation desk.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
