About the Role:
- Contract Administration: Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, including preparation, negotiation, execution, and closeout, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining positive relationships and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during project execution.
- Subcontractor Management: Select, onboard, and oversee subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Cost Management: Work closely with the estimating and finance teams to develop project budgets and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and addressing any variances or risks.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments for each project, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
- Schedule Management: Develop project schedules and timelines, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure adherence to deadlines and milestones.
- Change Management: Manage change orders and variations to contracts, ensuring that any modifications are documented, approved, and properly communicated to all stakeholders.
- Dispute Resolution: Handle any disputes or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project, working to resolve issues in a timely and amicable manner.
About the Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications in contract management or project management are advantageous.
- Proven experience in contract management within the construction industry, with specific experience in timber frame construction preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, legal principles, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Leadership abilities, with experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
