A leading company specializing in the design & manufacture of bespoke timber framed homes, roof trusses & joists for both residential and commercial builds.

About the Role:

  • Contract Administration: Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, including preparation, negotiation, execution, and closeout, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining positive relationships and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during project execution.
  • Subcontractor Management: Select, onboard, and oversee subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Cost Management: Work closely with the estimating and finance teams to develop project budgets and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and addressing any variances or risks.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments for each project, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project delivery.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Schedule Management: Develop project schedules and timelines, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure adherence to deadlines and milestones.
  • Change Management: Manage change orders and variations to contracts, ensuring that any modifications are documented, approved, and properly communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Dispute Resolution: Handle any disputes or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project, working to resolve issues in a timely and amicable manner.

About the Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications in contract management or project management are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in contract management within the construction industry, with specific experience in timber frame construction preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, legal principles, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership abilities, with experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
