Business Development Manager Role:

Summary of Role

Supporting the Sales and Marketing Director in the implementation of the sales strategy, you will be directly responsible for developing existing clients, reactivating former clients and identifying new business leads across all market segments both in the UK and Europe.  

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

•    Build relationships with existing and former clients maximising opportunities to quote on projects. 

•    Re-engage with former clients to understand why they were not retained and, working alongside the Sales Team, develop and deliver an action plan. 

•    Using available tools (internal and external) to identify new high priority clients and engage with them to create quoting opportunities. 

•    Ensure all clients, past, current, and potential are fully up to date on the company’s products and services. 

•    Building deep client relationships through regular client contact including: 

o    Social selling/social media networking 

o    Client meetings 

o    Wider networking and outreach. 

•    Assess opportunities to ensure a good fit between the project and our products and services. 

•    Responsible for ensuring internal CRM systems are updated. 

•    Analyse Data to prioritise and target high potential clients. 

•    Develop a healthy sales funnel prioritising leads based on solid data analysis and client feedback to transfer to the sales trade team. 

•    Cultivate customer loyalty through consistent client relationship management supporting the account managers in the transition from a lead to a sale. 

•    Work with the Operational Sales Manager to transition leads to the sales account team in a timely and effective manner. 

 

•    Work with the marketing team to develop effective strategies to promote the Company Brand within the targeted market segments, including: 

o    Social Events, CPD Sessions and Lunch & Learns 

o Encouraging referrals and testimonials 

o Create opportunities for joint marketing coverage with clients.
