Quantity Surveyor & Estimator – Office Fitout

Salary: £40,000 to 60,000 Per Year

• Must be local to Swindon as will be expected to work from the office as well as from home, and be able to attend project and management meetings. • Full driving licence. Will be expected to travel all areas of the UK, and able to stay away. • Be able to meet potential customers, take a brief and survey to a standard that allows them to work with our design team to produce a design scheme, with enough information so that they can estimate the project. • Surveys could also include furniture and storage requirements. • Produce detailed schedule of works that are measured and costed with up-to-date labour, tool hire. plant and materials rates. • Our projects are mainly commercial, ranging from, but not limited too, warehouses, factories, production lines, office refurbishments, fit outs, shopfitting, retail, NHS and other healthcare types and MOD. • On securing projects, be able to work with our project managers, and fit out teams so that fine turning of information and cost can be achieved. • The individual must be self driven, well organised and have not only have a good understanding of construction, but also able to work well within a friendly team. • Must have a good understanding of spreadsheets, and other similar programmes, and the ability to learn new technology. • Must have an understanding or ability to learn/use on-site measuring/surveying equipment and programs. • Previous experience is a must, with a proven track record, so a full CV including references will be required. • Proof of ability will be tested, so any new applicant will be expected to work as a sub-contractor, using their own transport, for one month. During this period we will access their performance and suitability to join the team. • The position will be full time, salary and benefits TBA.

Designer – Fit out

Location: Swindon

Type: Permanent

Salary: £30,000 to 45,000 Per Year

Will be expected to travel all areas of the UK, and able to stay away. • Be able to meet potential customers alone or as part of a survey team, take a design brief and survey to a standard that allows them to work with our management team and survey team to produce a design scheme, with enough information so that the management team cost the project. • Be very confident in doing furniture and storage surveys, layouts, etc • Be able to contact various suppliers to gain cost. • Produce detailed drawings and designs based on information personally surveyed or those produced by the surveyor. • DWGs include construction and bespoke DWG’s and the ability to produce ‘AS Built DWG’s’ • Able to work with various subcontractors, building control, the client, landlords etc to produce all type of on site and information DWG’s. • Our projects are mainly commercial, ranging from, but not limited too, warehouses, factories, production lines, office refurbishments, fit outs, shopfitting, retail, NHS and other healthcare types and MOD. • On securing projects, be able to work with our project managers, and fit out teams so that fine turning of information and DWG updating can be achieved. • The individual must be self driven, well organised and have not only have a good understanding of construction and design, but also able to work well within a friendly team. • Must have a good understanding of spreadsheets, CAD and other similar programmes, and the ability to learn new technology. • Must have an understanding or ability to learn/use on-site measuring/surveying equipment and programs. • Previous experience is a must, with a proven track record, so a full CV including references, design and DWG examples will be required. • Proof of ability will be tested, so any new applicant will be expected to work as a sub-contractor, using their own transport, for one month.
