Demolition Contracts Manager Role

Our client is a large market leading demolition contractor based in the North East area, who have gone from strength to strength over the 20 years of being in business. Due to expansion they are looking to take on a Contracts Manager to deal with a variety of demolition and related packages This company offers some exciting projects to work on, a closely-knit working environment and a clear path of progression to higher management.

The company specialise in complex demolition projects, with types of works including; traditional demolition, cut and carve, enabling, remediation, asbestos removal sectors, working with a variety of established clients with a consistent pipeline of work.

The role and responsibilities

• The organising and running of multiple contracts/ projects at any one time and to ensure that they are taken from contract award through to site implementation and successful completion, whilst meeting industry standards.

• Overall responsibility for Demolition Managers under your remit.

• Liaising with clients to prepare, plan and execute required documentation to commence project.

• To attend site regularly and work alongside site staff to ensure the smooth running of the contract. This includes the governance of sub-contractors, suppliers and the daily on-site project team.

• Resource management for plant, transport, materials and personnel.

• Review and monitor on-site progress enabling delivery of contract that meets scheduling and budget requirements.

• To use specialist knowledge to assess demolition options, to ensure best working methods are used with respect to scheduling and regulatory constraints.

• Assessment of potential contracts and estimating for works.

• To make recommendations and implement any changes to ensure improvements are made and excellent service is provided to the customer.

• To ensure that the site is ran in accordance to Company Health and Safety policies and procedures.



Key Skills/Qualifications required

• Attention to detail and great organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks

• Experience with running multiple demolition contracts

• Ability to assist in pricing and tendering for work

• Good man management skills
