Job Title: Trainee Estimator – Internal Firewall

Job Overview:
Our client is looking for a Trainee Estimator to join their team in the Gloucester office. This role is perfect for someone with some knowledge and experience in construction, or with a great attitude and potential in a similar industry, looking to start a career in estimating for internal firewall projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in preparing cost estimates for internal firewall projects

• Reviewing project documentation and specifications to assess the scope of work

• Supporting the preparation of tender documents and liaising with project managers, contractors, and clients

• Conducting site visits to gather data and assist in accurate cost estimation

• Learning how to identify materials, labor, and other associated costs under the guidance of senior estimators

• Gaining experience in estimating software and systems used within the company

Requirements:

• Some experience or knowledge in construction estimating, particularly for internal works such as firewalls (or similar experience from a construction-related field)

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail

• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and the potential to develop into a key team member

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• A full UK driving license is desirable
