My client has been established for over 50 years working on some of the most prestigious projects across the UK. They are now looking to add a Site Manager to their team.
About the Role
1) Ensure the project labour is managed with adequate resources to ensure project delivery inline with the clients agreed programme, and advise if insufficient
2) Manage and implement quality management process and ensure that work areas are handed back to the client and the very earliest stage
3) Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality policies
4) Review material, labour and plant orders and forecast with project Quantity Surveyor
5) Ensure the project runs to schedule and to internal budgets, and find solutions to problems as they arise
6) Be the initial point of contact at a site level for the client’s team
7) Ensure that all labour applications are booked off strictly in accordance with the project labour price list and advise if the labour price is incorrect, agreement of any additional items must be agreed with the Operations Manager and Project QS prior to any agreement with the labour gangs
8) Ensure plant is recorder correctly with appropriate on/off hire details and that all plant is working effectively and requirements are reviewed at least once a week
9) Maintain records of any variations to include as a minimum signed CVI sheet with photographs etc as necessary
10) Produce weekly site report providing marked up programmes with support daily diaries and photographs, programme and advise Operations Manager of an divergence with the contract
11) Ensure that material deliveries are correctly recorded to site so that the is a clear understanding of what has been delivered to date and what are the future requirements of the site and advise the procurement department
12) Build relationships with the client
13) Continually review the project requirements in respect of design, materials, labour and plant to ensure that future programme dates can be achieved and advise your operations manager of any potential issues
14) Co-ordinate subcontract packages to achieve project programme
15) Understanding implication of health and safety regulations
16) Attend internal project review meetings as requested
17) Carry out statutory plant and equipment inspections and record as per health and safety policy
18) Ensure that all labour on site (labour only and labour, plant & materials subcontractors) are recorded
About the Candidate
Previously held a Site Manager position
Have good attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Experience of working for a constructions company preferably industrial roofing and cladding
