An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Director to join a leading company in Demolition, Enabling & Remediation Works. In this pivotal role, you will oversee contract planning, resource management, and project execution to ensure successful outcomes and client satisfaction.

Roles/Responsibilities
- Support bid submissions and ensure contract programmes are well-structured with risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop project forecasts with the commercial team and track performance to meet targets.
- Identify and communicate potential project variations in a timely manner.
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental (HSQE) regulations and provide visible leadership in these areas.
- Oversee workload planning and ensure the availability of skilled operators and site management teams.
- Provide technical support and leadership to site teams, ensuring optimal contract outcomes.
- Manage and motivate teams, setting clear expectations and providing structured feedback.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry bodies, and stakeholders to enhance the company’s reputation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior contracts or operations management role within the demolition or enabling works sector.
- Strong ability to assess operational performance and drive improvements.
- Skilled in working under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver results in a challenging commercial environment.
- Effective team player and communicator with strong presentation skills.
- Desirable: HNC/Degree in a construction-related subject.
- Desirable: Membership of a professional body (e.g., Institution of Demolition Engineers).
- Desirable: IOSH Managing Safely / IOSH Leading Safely certification.
