Our client, a reputable M&E contractor based in Surrey, is looking to hire a mechanical estimator. 

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze specifications and drawings.
• Prepare subcontract and supplier enquiry packages.
• Create tender cost reports.
• Perform take-offs and measurements from tender drawings.
• Conduct site visits to establish scope of works and site requirements.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and specialists to ensure compliant and competitive submissions.
• Attend mid-tender interviews and demonstrate project knowledge.
• Develop tender using estimation software.
• Compile and prepare tender documentation for director approval.
• Submit tenders.
• Participate in post-tender interviews.
• Provide ongoing estimating support to contracts management teams.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Generate value engineering solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in building services estimating.
• Understanding of building services industry and processes.
• Proficiency in building services estimating software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Details:

• Full-time position based in Surrey.
• Occasional overtime and site visits may be required.
