Our client is an established high-end carpentry, joinery, and fit-out contractor. They work on a diverse range of multimillion-pound commercial and mixed-used projects. They have an excellent reputation for the quality of their projects and work with a number of prestigious clients.Their turnover has increased year-on-year, and they have a large pipeline of work for next year already. 

About the Role 

  • Manage projects of varying sizes; this may be one project or several smaller projects simultaneously
  • Run projects from design, procurement and through all stages of construction
  • Preparing, agreeing and working to programme
  • Implementation of programme and ensuring design, material and labour are fully resourced
  • Undertaking preconstruction surveys
  • Producing and managing detailed design information to enable manufacture
  • Assisting with project budget development for the cost plan, and monitoring this as the project moves through its stages
  • Managing project delivery teams
  • Manage and maintain client relationships 
  • Delivering works to an exceptional standard and level of quality
  • Delivering continual improvement in H&S 

About the Candidate

  • Must have joinery / carpentry experience
  • Must have an in depth knowledge of the joinery / fit-out industry and a good understanding of ironmongery and finishes
  • Experience of the construction management processes, means and methods
  • Have the ability to create project plans and budgets and to deliver results within their parameters
  • Highly-skilled at leading and developing a team
  • A strong team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible working attitude with a positive and engaging approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate QST/HR/039
  • Knowledge of CAD – ideal but not essential Qualifications
  • A levels / Higher education – preferred
  • SSSTS / SMSTS – H&S training – preferred
  • CSCS card
