Our client is a leading scaffolding contractor with a solid
reputation for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality access solutions
across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Due to continued
growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are seeking a proactive and
experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team.
Role Overview:
As the Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible
for leading and maintaining all aspects of health, safety, and compliance
across multiple scaffolding projects in the West Midlands. You’ll play a key
role in ensuring all operations are conducted safely and in line with statutory
requirements, industry best practice, and internal company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and
monitor health and safety procedures and policies across scaffolding
operations. - Conduct regular site
inspections, audits, and risk assessments, identifying and resolving
potential hazards. - Provide guidance and
training to operatives, supervisors, and management teams to ensure full
compliance with safety regulations. - Maintain records of
incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions, and lead investigations
when required. - Liaise with external
bodies such as the HSE, clients, and principal contractors regarding
safety matters. - Ensure the organisation
stays up to date with legislative changes and industry standards. - Promote a positive
safety culture throughout the workforce.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH General
Certificate (essential). - Proven experience in a
Health & Safety role within the scaffolding or access industry. - Strong knowledge of
working at height regulations and scaffolding safety requirements (TG20,
SG4, etc.). - Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication
and leadership skills. - Ability to influence and
engage stakeholders at all levels.
