About the Company:

Our client is a leading scaffolding contractor with a solid
reputation for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality access solutions
across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Due to continued
growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are seeking a proactive and
experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team.

Role Overview:

As the Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible
for leading and maintaining all aspects of health, safety, and compliance
across multiple scaffolding projects in the West Midlands. You’ll play a key
role in ensuring all operations are conducted safely and in line with statutory
requirements, industry best practice, and internal company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and
    monitor health and safety procedures and policies across scaffolding
    operations.
  • Conduct regular site
    inspections, audits, and risk assessments, identifying and resolving
    potential hazards.
  • Provide guidance and
    training to operatives, supervisors, and management teams to ensure full
    compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain records of
    incidents, near-misses, and corrective actions, and lead investigations
    when required.
  • Liaise with external
    bodies such as the HSE, clients, and principal contractors regarding
    safety matters.
  • Ensure the organisation
    stays up to date with legislative changes and industry standards.
  • Promote a positive
    safety culture throughout the workforce.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH General
    Certificate (essential).
  • Proven experience in a
    Health & Safety role within the scaffolding or access industry.
  • Strong knowledge of
    working at height regulations and scaffolding safety requirements (TG20,
    SG4, etc.).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication
    and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence and
    engage stakeholders at all levels.
