Role Overview
As the Business Development / Pre-Construction Manager, you will drive strategic growth by identifying new opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and leading the development of high-quality tender submissions. You’ll work closely with internal technical, commercial, and operational teams, and represent the company with confidence at industry events, meetings, and across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to grow our footprint within the remediation and geo-environmental sector

Identify new tender opportunities through industry networking, existing relationships, and market research

Lead the full tender process, coordinating inputs from technical, commercial, and operational teams to deliver standout submissions

Build and nurture lasting relationships with both new and existing clients

Represent the company at industry events and client meetings

Promote the business across relevant media, including LinkedIn and other professional platforms

Align business development initiatives with broader company goals
What We’re Looking For
Essential:

Proven success in client-facing roles, ideally in a technical or environmental sector

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

Strong organisational skills with a proactive and detail-focused approach

Self-motivated, collaborative, and confident in leading cross-functional input

UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable:

Background in environmental science, engineering, or remediation contracting

Experience with technical or commercial tendering in the construction or environmental sector

Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a related field
