About the Role:
Our client is a leading contractor specialising in passive fire protection solutions. With decades of experience, they deliver high-quality fire protection services across the UK, including fire stopping, fire boarding, and structural steel fire protection.
They are currently seeking a Fire Stopping / Compartmentation Surveyor to join their team in London. This is a site-based role with regular travel to active projects across the region. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspecting and reporting on fire-stopping and compartmentation works to ensure they meet required standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out detailed site surveys related to fire-stopping and compartmentation
- Identify non-compliant installations and document remedial requirements
- Produce accurate, clear, and timely survey reports
- Liaise with site personnel, project teams, and clients where necessary
- Support the quality control of passive fire protection installations
- Ensure all activities comply with current fire safety legislation and health & safety protocols
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Surveyor within the passive fire protection industry
- Strong understanding of fire protection systems and compartmentation principles
- Effective written communication and reporting skills
- CSCS card (essential)
- NVQ in Passive Fire Protection (preferred)
- IFE Level 2 certificate (desirable) – or currently working towards / willing to undertake training
- Own transport required – travel allowance will be provided
