About the Job:

My client is seeking a skilled and experienced Fire and Security Installation Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Commissioning: Install and commission fire alarms, CCTV systems, intruder alarms, and access control systems according to industry standards and client specifications.
  • System Integration: Ensure that installed systems integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure, including network and electrical systems.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring that they are fully informed and comfortable with the operation of installed systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and customer interactions, ensuring that all work is documented in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and responsibly.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Industry Experience: Experience in the installation and maintenance of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of fire safety regulations, British Standards (BS 5839, BS 6266), and relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Skills: Proficient in reading technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • IT Skills: Familiarity with IP-based systems, network configuration, and basic IT troubleshooting.
  • Driving License: A valid UK driving license is required.
