An industry leading contractor in the commercial contract flooring market requires an experienced Estimator to oversee pre-contract and estimating functions.

The client is looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual who will be involved and invested in their various ongoing projects and the overall progress of the company.

About the Role  

They are looking to recruit an ambitious Estimator that has the desire to become a senior figure in their commercial team in the future.

  • Preliminary costings
  • Business Development
  • Developing client relationships
  • Reporting in Director level
  • Answering queries regarding tenders
  • Check tender documents
  • Value engineering
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process
  • Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
  • Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates
  • Prepare and submit bids and quotations for commercial and residential projects.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure accurate cost assessments.

About the Candidate      

  • Previous experience in pricing flooring contracts
  • Flexible self-starter with ability to prioritise
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Wider knowledge and understanding of various interiors systems
  • trong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of construction project cycles and the tendering process.
