Electrical Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of minor works, remedial works, and the installation of lighting systems across the UK. This role is responsible for managing subcontractors, ensuring quality and compliance, and coordinating all site activity. The ideal candidate will also bring experience sourcing and managing specialist labour where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of lighting installation contracts, from planning through to completion

  • Oversee and coordinate subcontractors to ensure high-quality and timely project delivery

  • Source and manage specialist labour as required for each project

  • Carry out site surveys, risk assessments, and prepare method statements

  • Ensure compliance with all electrical and safety regulations

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and suppliers to maintain clear communication and project alignment

  • Oversee remedial works and ongoing maintenance programmes

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Electrical Qualifications:

    • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent

    • AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2)

    • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)

  • Certifications & Cards:

    • ECS Gold Card or equivalent

    • CSCS (if applicable)

    • Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g. City & Guilds 2391) is desirable

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years in the electrical contracting industry

    • Proven track record delivering exterior or infrastructure lighting projects

    • Strong experience managing subcontractors and coordinating external labour

    • Familiarity with health and safety procedures, CDM regulations, and site compliance

    • Experience working on nationwide contracts and managing multiple sites

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Full UK driving licence

    • Willingness to travel nationally and stay away when required

    • Experience using job management or project tracking software is advantageous
