Design Manager – Mechanical

  • Read, understand and scrutinise Specifications. 

  • Design Mechanical Services Systems from Architects’ Drawings and / or Room Data Sheets:- 

  • Public Health Installation 

  • Domestic Services Installation 

  • Ventilation 

  • Heating 

  • Comfort Cooling 

  • Air Conditioning 

  • Design & Build experience is essential. 

  • A good working knowledge of current regulations including HTM’s. 

  • A good working knowledge of BMS & Control Systems. 

  • Ability to carry out site visits and surveys. 

  • Ability to meet Clients, Consultants and Professional Teams. 

  • Ability to present the design to the Professional and Contract Management teams. 

  • Ability to work in a team. 

  • Ability to work to programme deadlines and timescales. 

  • An appreciation of business demands. 

  • Good documentation and presentation skills. 

  • The willingness to undertake further design training as relevant to the position. 



  • 4+ years’ relevant mechanical design experience, preferably within a contracting environment 

  • 8+ years’ experience within building services 

  • Excellent understanding of: 

  • Building Services Design & Software 

  • CAD 

  • BIM 

  • Revit (advantageous)

  • A starting salary between £50,000.00 & £80,000.00, subject to level of experience, with discretional performance related bonuses
