Demolition Contracts Manager 

Our client is a market leading demolition contractor working across the London and South East area, who have gone from strength to strength over the 25 years+ of being in business. Due to expansion they are looking to take on a Contracts Manager to deal with a variety of demolition works and related packages. This company offers flagship, exciting projects to work on, a closely-knit working environment and a clear path of progression to higher management. 

The company specialise in complex demolition projects, with types of works including; traditional top down demolition, cut and carve, enabling, remediation, asbestos removal and industrial dismantling sectors, working with a variety of established clients with a consistent pipeline of work.  

They currently turnover circa £40Mill as a group and are looking to expand further with a strong pipeline of work for the next few years ahead. 

The role and responsibilities 

  • The organising and running of multiple contracts/ projects at any one time and to ensure that they are taken from contract award through to site implementation and successful completion, whilst meeting NFDC standards.
  • Overall responsibility for other Demolition Site Managers and junior Project Managers under your remit.
  • Liaising with clients to prepare, plan and execute required documentation to commence project.
  • To attend site regularly and work alongside site staff to ensure the smooth running of the contract. This includes the governance of sub-contractors, suppliers and the daily on-site project team.
  • Resource management for plant, transport, materials and personnel.
  • Review and monitor on-site progress enabling delivery of contract that meets scheduling and budget requirements.
  • To use specialist knowledge to assess demolition options, to ensure best working methods are used with respect to scheduling and regulatory constraints.
  • Assessment of potential contracts and estimating for works.
  • To make recommendations and implement any changes to ensure improvements are made and excellent service is provided to the customer.
  • To ensure that the site is ran in accordance to Company Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Key Skills/Qualifications required

  • CCDO Black Card 
  • Strong background in specialist, large scale demolition contracts 
  • Experience with running multiple demolition contracts 
  • Ability to assist in pricing and tendering for work
  • Good man management skills
