About the role:
- Responsible for day-to-day procurement of material and sub-contractors
- Someone with the ability to create a buying system/process that works efficiently
- Working in a busy office environment supporting projects ranging from £500k-£2M
- Negotiate fees and prices with suppliers to get the best value for the company
- Align supplier agreements alongside companies’ business performance and cost objective
- Monitor the status of orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that arise.
- Issue purchase orders for electrical materials, equipment, and services, ensuring accuracy in specifications and quantities
About the Candidate:
- Experienced Buyer from a main contracting background
- Someone who has the ability to create procurement processes and procedures
- Work Autonomously and as part of a team to ensure you deliver the best result against cost objectives
- Someone who is innovative and can think outside the box
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills
- Experience with material and subcontractor procurement
- Experience purchasing in a construction environment
- Ability to prioritise tasks to ensure delivery against objectives
