Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales, boosting revenue, and supporting the expansion of the sales team. This is a hands-on role that involves managing the sales process from lead generation through to contract signature and collaborating with internal teams to ensure a seamless handover to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a new sales strategy for long-term growth.
  • Manage inbound leads from initial inquiry through to contract closure.
  • Visit prospective clients, present the company’s services, and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Identify and respond to tender opportunities with successful bids.
  • Proactively research and pursue new leads within the Commercial & Industrial sector.
  • Ensure a smooth transition of projects from sales to project delivery.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Strong commercial acumen with a consultative sales style.
  • Proven experience in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Solar sector.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage senior-level stakeholders.
  • Successful track record in managing bids and contracts, ideally up to £3 million.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and CRM systems.
  • Clean driving license.
