Location: Hybrid – Based near Redditch, Worcestershire (minimum 2 days per week in office)
Salary: Base £37,000 + Uncapped OTE (£60,000–£70,000 realistic)

About the Role
A well-established wholesale business specialising in supplying solar installation kits to installers across the UK and Ireland is seeking a driven Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the customer base by bringing on new solar installation companies and growing sales across the region.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in distribution or wholesale, particularly with experience working with or developing new business among solar or electrical installers.
Key Responsibilities

Develop new business by onboarding solar installation companies as customers

Build and nurture strong relationships with installers, understanding their kit requirements and providing tailored solutions

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and excellent customer service

Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and solar industry trends to advise clients effectively

Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs

Manage a sales territory covering the UK and Ireland with regular travel as needed

Be in the office at least 2 days per week (Redditch), with flexibility for remote work
Requirements

Proven track record in business development or sales within wholesale distribution, ideally related to solar or electrical installation sectors

Experience working with or selling to solar installers or electrical contractors

Strong relationship-building and communication skills

Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially minded

Able to work independently managing a wide geographic territory

Based within reasonable commuting distance of Redditch for office days
