About the Role 

• Assist senior estimators in preparing detailed cost estimates, including quantity takeoffs and pricing for various project components.
• Work with quantity surveyors to measure and calculate quantities for project materials and labor.
• Obtain quotes from vendors and suppliers for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely deliveries
• Occasionally participate in site visits to gather data on conditions, scope, and site-specific requirements.
• Assist in reviewing project bids after submission to determine accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
• Participate in post-bid debriefs with the team to discuss potential cost savings and lessons learned.

About the Candidate 

• Degree / HNC/ HND qualified preferably  
• Any previous experience in a commercial/ surveying/ estimating function for the construction or industrial industry would be a bonus  
• Excellent analytical skills are essential, as are numeracy, literacy and communication in English.  
• Computer literacy in MS Office 
• Flexible self-starter with the ability to prioritise
